“A woman, a cell. Her thoughts, her shadows, her silhouettes, her obsessions. Mariana is about the concealed voice of a woman who has a place in our country’s history. She speaks without hesitation, using her voice to demand justice and making her search for truth a need and the reason of her existence. This show stems from the need to rescue her voice from oblivion, as well as the voice of so many other women throughout history.”  David Ojeda
Palmyra Teatro is company founded in 2010 and committed to artistic inclusion and accessibility in the performing arts. To date it has produced four shows: Mi piedra roseta, Lucrecia y Judith, De lo fingido verdadero and Mariana. It has participated in the Festivals of ALMADA, Almagro, IDEM, ESCENA MOBILE and performed at theatres associated with the Spanish Theatre Network.
The inclusive heatre festival Manquita was created in 2022 with the objective of raising awareness regarding inclusion, as well as its promotion and dissemination, in the performing arts. It also aims to highlight the work carried out by professionals, associations and entities in Malaga in favour of the recognition and visibility of the experiences of persons and organisations that work in this field.  Manquita is sponsored by the Fundación Málaga and supported by the Spanish National Organisation of the Blind [ONCE], the Malaga Cervantes Theatre, the Area for Culture of the Malaga City Council and the Provincial Government’s Department for Culture.
